GMP
Back in February of 2025, the main GMP testing computer, a Ryzen 9950X based system, died. The CPU's pin side has a discoloured region of about 10 mm in diameter. The CPU was replaced within the warranty period.

GMP damaging Zen 5 CPUs?
We have fried two Ryzen 9950X CPUs in a few months by running GMP tests and the GMP-based factoring program GMP-ECM . This is not expected, of course. In this page, we provide as much information as possible to help analysing the problem.
